Painter and Decorator

Course Outcome
Upon successful completion of all theoretical and practical components of this qualification, you will be awarded a Nationally Recognised Qualification – CPC30611.

Duration

This qualification requires completion of theoretical and practical components, with a nominal term of 36 – 48 months.

Apprenticeship

This Qualification is delivered as an Apprenticeship. The apprentice will apply paint by brush and roller, apply texture coat paint finishes, apply clear stains, match specified paint colours, apply decorative finishes, apply wall paper and treat lead paint hazards and more.

Fees and Funding

User Choice Student Contributions

Concession: $0.64 per nominal hour (40% of the non-concessional amount)
Non-concession: $1.60 per nominal hour

This qualification provides a trade outcome in painting and decorating for residential and commercial construction work.

The qualification has core unit of competency requirements that cover common skills for the construction industry, as well as two specialist fields of work.
